The Viega MegaPress G 25466 is a new carbon steel press-fit tee fitting measuring 2 in. x 2 in. x 1 in. (P1 x P2 x FPT), designed for use with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 black or galvanized steel pipe in gas distribution systems. The two run ends accept standard press connections using Viega's MegaPress tooling with the M-profile jaw, while the side outlet is a 1 in. female NPT (FPT) threaded port, allowing direct connection to threaded components such as valves, gauges, or branch lines. This fitting is manufactured in Germany, carries ICC, CSA, and IAPMO/UPC certifications, and is approved for gas (G designation) applications including natural gas and propane in residential and commercial piping systems. The Viega MegaPress G system eliminates the need for welding, threading, or grooving on the press ends, enabling tool-actuated cold connection at operating pressures consistent with the MegaPress G rated system. The yellow indicator dots confirm unpressed ends, providing a visible leak-before-press safety feature during pressure testing.
