Viega 85710 1-1/2x1-1/2x1 304SS PxPxP ProPress Reducing Tee

The Viega 85710 is a new, press-fit reducing tee from the ProPress Stainless system, manufactured in Germany from 304 stainless steel with a three-end configuration of 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1" (run x run x branch), all press (P) connections. The fitting incorporates Viega's Smart Connect feature — a patented thermoplastic element visible inside each socket that causes water to weep through an unpressed joint during system pressure testing, providing a positive no-leak indicator before commissioning and eliminating hidden un-pressed connections. All three ends accept standard press-tool jaws in the corresponding sizes and are compatible with type 304L stainless tubing per ASTM A269/A312; the pre-installed EPDM sealing element suits water, water-based fluids, and many HVAC hydronic applications operating within the system's rated pressure and temperature limits. No soldering, threading, or open flame is required, making this fitting suitable for installations in occupied or fire-restricted environments.
