This Walter Prototyp 3TC420-8116085 is a 3/4-16 UNF thread forming (roll) tap with a D13 tolerance designation, made from HSS-E-PM powder metallurgical high speed steel with a TiNF coating. Thread forming taps displace material to produce the internal thread without cutting chips, and this tap has a lobed polygonal profile with a lubrication groove pattern along the form section, plus an axial coolant hole in the end face and radial coolant exits visible near the thread form. The shank is a ground cylindrical shank with a driving square, and the tap was manufactured in Germany. This tap is new.
