The Walter SNGX1205ANN-F57 WSP45S is a square (S), negative (N) clearance angle, precision-ground (G) tolerance, 12 mm inscribed circle, 05 mm thick, double-sided carbide milling insert with a flat (N) chipbreaker on an X-style seat, carrying the F57 geometry — a positive cutting-edge geometry designed for face milling with smooth cutting action and reduced cutting forces. The substrate is Walter's WSP45S Tiger-tec Silver PVD-coated cemented carbide grade, utilizing an aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) / TiAlN-based multilayer Tiger-tec Silver PVD coating engineered for high wear resistance and heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds; the material compatibility chart on the box label shows suitability for P (steel) and M (stainless/austenitic) material groups with double-dot (medium-to-heavy) ratings, and S (superalloys/titanium) with double-dot rating, making it well-suited for face milling steel, stainless steel, and heat-resistant superalloys. These inserts are designed for use in Walter F2010, F4042, and compatible square-insert face mill bodies accepting SNGX12 inserts, and are sold new in the factory 10-piece plastic clamshell tray as shown. The ANN seat configuration provides a stable, full-face contact seating with no chipbreaker interference on the underside, and the double-sided design delivers up to 8 cutting edges per insert for extended tool life and reduced cost per edge.
