Walter TCMT16T308-FP4 WPP10G Carbide Turning Insert (5 pcs)

The Walter TCMT16T308-FP4 WPP10G is a new, indexable triangular carbide turning insert in Walter's Select line, manufactured in Germany to ISO designation TCMT 16 T3 08. Decoding the ISO code: T = 60° triangular shape, C = 7° clearance angle, M = ±0.08 mm inscribed-circle / ±0.13 mm thickness tolerance, T = single-sided with chipbreaker on one face and hole; size 16 T3 = 9.525 mm (3/8 in) inscribed circle, T3 thickness = 3.97 mm (5/32 in); 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius. The FP4 chipbreaker geometry is a finishing-to-medium chipbreaker optimized for steel turning, producing tight chip control at light-to-medium depths of cut (ap ≈ 0.5–3.0 mm). The WPP10G grade is a PVD-coated (TiAlN-based, gold topcoat visible in photo) CVD-free cemented carbide in Walter's WPP series, ISO application range P10–P25, engineered for continuous and light-interrupted cutting of carbon and alloyed steels at high cutting speeds. Compatible toolholders accept TCMT 16 T3 (TCMT 3(2.5)2 inch equivalent) inserts with M-style clamping; typical holders include Walter Capto and shank-style STUCL/STUCR bodies.
