The Walter TCMT16T308-FP4 WPP10G is a new, indexable triangular carbide turning insert in Walter's Tiger-tec Gold grade, designed for external and internal turning on CNC lathes. Decoding the ISO designation: T = 60° triangular shape, C = 7° clearance angle, M = medium tolerance class, T = with hole and top chipbreaker, 16T3 = 9.525 mm (3/8 in) inscribed circle / metric size 16, 08 = 4.76 mm (3/16 in) thickness, 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius; the FP4 chipbreaker geometry is optimized for finishing and light medium turning, and the WPP10G grade is a CVD-coated (TiAlN/Al₂O₃ Tiger-tec Gold multilayer) substrate targeting ISO P (steels) primarily, with secondary application in ISO K (cast irons).
