The Walter Titex A6989AMP-2.5 is a new, solid carbide coolant-through twist drill with a nominal diameter of 2.5 mm, belonging to Walter's X·treme Evo Plus (A6989AMP) series engineered for high-performance drilling in a broad range of materials. The "AMP" suffix denotes Walter's Advanced Multi-Purpose geometry, featuring a self-centering split-point, polished flutes for superior chip evacuation, and an AlCrN-based Supreme coating that delivers outstanding wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. The drill is rated for ISO material groups P (steel), M (stainless/austenitic), K (cast iron), N (non-ferrous), and S (superalloys/titanium), as confirmed by the ISO color-code label visible on the packaging. With an internal coolant supply bore, the A6989AMP-2.5 is optimised for use in CNC machining centers with through-spindle coolant at pressures up to 80 bar, and it accepts straight-shank collet holders (ER or equivalent) sized for a 3 mm shank.
