The Walter Titex DC160-05-11.100F1-WJ30ET is a new solid carbide coolant-through twist drill from Walter's DC160 series, designed for high-performance drilling in steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. Decoding the MPN: DC160 = Alpha·Tec 160° point angle series; 05 = 5×D flute length (approx. 55.5 mm flute); 11.100 = 11.100 mm drill diameter; F1 = straight/cylindrical shank with driving flat (Whistle-Notch); WJ30ET = Walter grade WJ30ET, a TiAlN-based (Epoca coating) PVD-coated submicron carbide grade optimized for drilling steel and stainless. The drill features through-coolant channels, a 160° self-centering point angle that reduces thrust force and improves entry stability, and a bronzed/gold TiAlN+TiN PVD multi-layer coating visible in the photos. The cylindrical shank with flat is compatible with hydraulic, shrink-fit, and Weldon-flat toolholders accepting a 12 mm or equivalent straight-shank bore.
