The Watts 1 LF009M2-QT-FS is a 1-inch female NPT reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventer assembly, manufactured to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 certification and compliant with California Prop 65 lead-free requirements (less than 0.25% lead by weight). This new, fully assembled unit employs dual independently operating check valves and a relief valve to prevent reverse flow and siphoning of contaminated water into potable water supplies in both low-hazard and high-hazard cross-connection scenarios. The compact, integrated design includes factory-installed quarter-turn ball valves, union connections, and test cocks with color-coded tags, eliminating field assembly and reducing installation labor. Typical applications include commercial and industrial facility water system protection, irrigation system protection, and building entrance installations per IPC, UPC, and local plumbing code requirements.
