The Watts 1 LF009M2-QT-S is a new, lead-free bronze Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow preventer assembly rated for 1-inch FNPT connections, designed to provide the highest level of backflow protection (RP type) for potable water systems in commercial and industrial plumbing applications. The part number decodes as follows: "LF" = Lead Free (wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight, compliant with NSF/ANSI 61 and Safe Drinking Water Act); "009" = Series 009 double-check-type reduced pressure zone design with a differential pressure relief valve venting to atmosphere between two independent check valves; "M2" = Model 2 configuration; "QT" = quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs (one upstream, one downstream) with green lever handles; "S" = includes an integral Y-strainer on the inlet.
