Watts 2 740 030 FS ASME 2x2-1/2 in 30 PSI Bronze Boiler Safety Relief Valve

The Watts 2 740 030 FS is a new, ASME-certified steam and hot water boiler safety relief valve in the Series 740, manufactured in the USA from cast bronze construction with a bronze disc and seat. The valve features a 2 in. FNPT inlet and 2-1/2 in. FNPT outlet (2 x 2-1/2 configuration as cast on the body), a factory-set opening pressure of 30 PSI, and a BTU/hr relief capacity rating of 5,250,000 as shown on the nameplate tag. It carries a Canadian Registration Number (CRN) OG7543.5C for use in Canada, and is listed and certified by Watts under ASME Section I and Section IV standards for steam boiler over-pressure protection. The top-mounted chrome steel test lever allows manual verification of valve operation per ASME maintenance requirements; the valve installs vertically on the boiler with the discharge outlet oriented horizontally and must be piped to a safe point of discharge.
