Watts LF909-DNRS-FS 3in Flanged Lead-Free RPZ Backflow Preventer Assembly

This is a new Watts LF909-DNRS-FS 3-inch Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow preventer assembly, model LF909 Large, configured with flanged end connections, a factory-installed Flood Detection Sensor (FDS), and a NRS (Non-Rising Stem) shut-off valve arrangement on both inlet and outlet sides. The LF909 series is constructed with a lead-free cast iron body, conforming to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 lead-free requirements, and is listed by the Foundation for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research (USC FCCCHR), CSA, and ASSE 1013, making it suitable for high-hazard potable water cross-connection control applications including fire suppression, irrigation, and industrial process water systems. The assembly features two independently acting spring-loaded check valves and a hydraulically-operated differential pressure relief valve that vents to atmosphere if either check valve fails, ensuring the downstream zone pressure is always lower than supply pressure; the integrated Flood Detection Sensor provides an electrical signal when the relief valve discharges, enabling remote monitoring and alarm capability. Flanged connections per ANSI/AWWA C110/A21.10 are factory-assembled and factory-tested; the unit ships new in the original manufacturer's wooden crate with hardware kit and documentation included.
