These are new WIDIA GTD 82313 spiral point (gun) taps in 1/4-20 UNC, H3 tolerance class, with 6 flutes, EMSS geometry, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating. The spiral point design pushes chips forward ahead of the tap, making it optimized for through-hole tapping operations on CNC machining centers and automatic tapping equipment. The H3 pitch diameter tolerance (0.0005–0.0015 in. over basic PD) is suited for producing 2B class fits in a wide range of materials including carbon steels, alloy steels, and stainless steels. TiCN coating provides higher surface hardness and lower friction than standard TiN, extending tool life in abrasive and work-hardening materials. Made in Japan to WIDIA GTD quality standards; sold here as a lot of 6 new taps in original factory packaging.
