Widia GTD VTSFT5511 M5x0.8 D4 3FL HSSE OX Spiral Flute Tap

This is a new Widia GTD VTSFT5511 spiral flute machine tap (catalog #5357060, order code 121583703K4AS, internal grade code WP49EG) cutting an M5x0.8 metric thread to D4 tolerance class per ANSI standards. The tap is manufactured from HSSE (high-speed steel with cobalt addition, M35 grade) for enhanced heat and wear resistance over standard HSS, and carries a black oxide (OX) surface treatment that improves lubricity, reduces galling, and provides light corrosion resistance. The 3-flute spiral flute (helix) geometry is designed for blind-hole tapping, pulling chips up and out of the hole to prevent re-cutting, and suits through-holes as well; the right-hand spiral, right-hand cut (RHSF) configuration is compatible with standard CNC machining centers, CNC lathes with rigid tap cycles, and dedicated tapping machines using standard ER or tap collet holders.
