The Widia Hanita 623725008 is a new, 1-inch diameter, 5-flute roughing end mill manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel (8% Co), designed for aggressive material removal in ferrous and difficult-to-machine alloys. The tool features a standard serrated (ruff) tooth geometry — with chip-splitting serrations along the flute length — that breaks chips into small segments, reduces cutting forces, and allows higher feed rates compared to standard finishing end mills. Per the label, it has a 1-inch cutting diameter, 1-inch shank diameter, 3-inch length of cut, and 5.5-inch overall length, with a weldon-flat shank for positive drive in a standard end mill holder. Made in Israel by Widia Hanita (part of the Widia/Kennametal group), this end mill is suited for roughing passes in steel, tool steel, stainless steel, and high-temp alloys on knee mills and CNC machining centers.
