This Yamawa ZELX-NI-SP spiral flute machine tap, item number 387507, cuts No.8-32 UNC internal threads (0.164 in major diameter, 32 threads per inch). It is ground to a GH3 thread limit and has a spiral flute geometry that pulls chips back out of the hole, which suits through holes and blind holes where chip evacuation matters. The tap has a straight shank with a square drive end for tap holders and tapping heads, and its dark surface finish is visible in the photos. This tap is new and comes in the original Yamawa plastic tube.
