The YG-1 DH406071 is a new solid carbide Dream Drill from the DH40 series, ground to a 7.1 mm cutting diameter with an 8.0 mm straight cylindrical shank, 41 mm flute length, and 79 mm overall length — all confirmed from the package label. Designed for 3xD depth-of-cut applications, the drill features through-coolant holes for high-pressure coolant delivery directly to the cutting edge, enabling aggressive feed rates and extended tool life in steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. The TiAlN* coating (YG-1's proprietary TiAlN variant) provides oxidation resistance up to approximately 800°C, making the drill well-suited for dry or minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) machining on CNC machining centers with spindle coolant capability. The 8.0 mm shank is compatible with standard ER, hydraulic, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting 8 mm bore; the step-down from shank to flute diameter is visible in the product images.
