YG-1 E2171200 2" x 2" x 6" x 9-3/4" 8FL HSSCo8 Roughing End Mill

This is a new YG-1 E2171200 (also cataloged as 61488) 2-inch diameter, 8-flute, HSSCo8 (M42 cobalt high-speed steel, 8% Co) roughing end mill with a medium-pitch serrated tooth profile, square end geometry, and a semi-standard (Weldon-flat) shank. Dimensional specs read directly from the label and warehouse tags are 2" cutting diameter × 2" shank diameter × 6" length of cut × 9-3/4" overall length; the Weldon-flat shank drive prevents pull-out under the high chip loads inherent to roughing operations. The 8-flute medium-pitch wavy serration breaks chips into short segments, dramatically reducing cutting forces and enabling aggressive depth-of-cut in steel, cast iron, stainless, and high-temperature alloys compared to standard 4-flute finishers.
