The YG-1 WNMG432-UR (metric: WNMG080408-UR) is a new, indexable carbide turning insert in grade YG3020, a CVD-coated cemented carbide designed for steel (ISO P) turning applications. Decoding the ISO designation: W = trigon (80° included angle), N = 0° clearance angle, M = M-tolerance, G = with hole and chipbreaker, 08 = 12.7 mm inscribed circle, 04 = 4.76 mm thickness, 08 = 0.8 mm nose radius; the -UR suffix denotes the universal roughing chipbreaker geometry. YG3020 is YG-1's CVD multi-layer coated grade (TiCN/Al₂O₃) optimized for roughing to semi-finishing of steel and cast iron, with published cutting parameters of Vc 60–380 m/min, feed 0.30–0.50 mm/rev, and depth of cut 1.0–5.0 mm. Each box contains 10 factory-inspected inserts made in Korea and is compatible with MWLNR/L, DWLNR/L, and other WNMG-style toolholders per ISO/ANSI standards.
